I'm not going to write my usual Tortie Tuesday post because my mom is really worried about Franklin. He has been coughing for a while - at first she thought he had hairballs, but she took him to the vet today and found out that he has bronchitis. They were at the vet office for an hour and a half because Franklin had to get X-rays and all kinds of tests. The vet doesn't know if it's because of an infection or allergies yet (we have to wait to get the blood test results back), but Franklin has to take antibiotics twice a day.
Even though I think Franklin is kind of a pain sometimes (you know how little brothers are!), I don't want him to be sick! So we're asking for your purrs and good thoughts for him.P.S. from Katie - I am dealing with this and also some things at work that require a lot of attention, so I've been having problems with both writing posts and commenting on everyone else's blogs. Please bear with me. This is probably more scary for me than it should be, but after having lost two older cats to illnesses that manifested suddenly, I'm quite concerned. We do have a great vet, so that helps.

Franklin, we just sent a massive package filled to the rim with purrs your way. We are relieved that you have a good vet and are keeping paws crossed for the results. Please get better asap, dear furriend! And please keep us updated as much as you can.

I hope you'll have time to update us soon about Franklin. If his sudden illness was dizziness or vomiting I'd be really really really worried but because Luxor used to have coughing problems I've see how antibiotics can really help. I'm sending Franklin prayers that he's just got a little kitty cold.

Our mom says she completely understands you worry, she is the same way after losing Sylvester with absolutely no warning at all in 2007.
We are purring and purraying our very hardest for sweet Franklin. We hope he recovers very soon without any more problems! A great vet is always a big plus!

Poor Franklin! we're hoping the antibiotics will help him feel better soon and get rid of that nasty cough. And Katie-mom, Meowmie certainly understands how concerned you are...you're a good cat mom, and you want your sweet boy not to have something seriously wrong! many purrrrs and prayers heading your way

Oh Franklin I am so sad that you aren't feeling well. Since I am a day late in wishing you well I did peek ahead and see that it sounds like you are feeling better now, but we are stil sending you lots of purrs and prayers and good thoughts!
